YO! Voice is a vocal ensemble that consists of young people age 9-25 years of age that aspire to break into the music industry. Under the direction of world renowned recording artist, songwriter, producer and television host, Nysa Shenay, members are taught music fundamentals and techniques. Each class additionally places emphasis on academic life skills, discipline, self respect, and conquering major life challenges. Gain access to leadership and mentorship of the industries finest recording artists, musicians, producers, music publishers and engineers.

Get a chance to visit closed rehearsals of multi-platinum recording artists and see what goes on behind the scenes of places like the Jay Leno Show and Cirque du Soleil. Classes are held every Tuesday from 4-6pm. Sign-up today, Hollywood is waiting for you!

Each summer the YO! Watts Center hosts a Community 3-on-3 Tournament. There are 3 point contests and team events for all to participate in. Get a chance to show off your “on the court” skills and bring home a trophy and the pride that comes along with being a winner. All athletic levels are welcome!

What better place to spend your Summer Friday afternoons than at the beach with your friends. Learn the essentials of water safety, boogie boarding and surfing from certified licensed instructors. Wetsuits, boards, and lunch all provided. All you need to bring is a towel and some sunscreen. Surf’s Up!

The holidays are an important time at the YO! Watts center to give back to the community as a whole. During the month of October we host a “Halloween Extravaganza” that includes carnival games, face painting, costume contests, a haunted house, and all the buttery popcorn and candy you can eat. At the end of the year we bring smiles to hundreds of faces by providing toys to youth age 6 months to 12 years old during our “Annual Holiday Gift/Food Giveaway”. Last year alone we issued out gifts and food to over 900 families in the Watts community. In addition to the gift giveaway during the holidays we also sponsor our “30 Chosen Family Initiative” that provides full Holiday Dinners to identifies families in need.
